Find a Podiatrist

Podiatrists are regulated health professionals who specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the feet and ankles. Their scope of practice includes providing care for a wide range of foot and ankle concerns, from common conditions and injuries to more complex problems requiring specialized treatment. Whether you are experiencing pain, difficulty walking, or an ongoing foot or ankle concern, a podiatrist can help you understand your condition and develop an appropriate plan of care.

DPM (Chiropodist): Ontario law currently prohibits the registration of new podiatrists. Practitioners identified as DPM (Chiropodist) have graduated from a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine/DPM program in Canada or the United States and are authorized to practise podiatry elsewhere in Canada, but are limited to practise as chiropodists in Ontario.  They are full members of the OPMA.

Chiropodist: This member is an Associate Member of the OPMA, but is a graduate of a chiropody, not a podiatry, program and is authorized to practise in Ontario only as a chiropodist.

Please note that you do not  need a physician referral to see a PODIATRIST.
